Some Captured History of Glanamman and Garnant

Neuadd Mill and Farm, Garnant

Neuadd Mill and Farm, early 1900's

Rees' map of South Wales shows a water mill at this location as far back as the 14th century. Neuadd Farm and corn mill were sited on the northern side of the River Garnant. A map from the late 1800's shows two mill race's (water channels), one from the River Garnant in the proximity of Tir-bâch and another which seems to approach the mill from a general North-Easterly direction, the source of which is difficult to assertain.
